How the Extension Works

Prime Video Enhancer operates entirely locally on your device. All settings and preferences are stored locally in your browser and never transmitted to our servers or any third parties.

The extension only modifies the visual appearance of Amazon Prime Video pages to hide or customize interface elements according to your preferences.

Permissions

The extension requires permission to access Amazon Prime Video pages solely to apply the customizations you select. This permission is used exclusively for modifying the page appearance and does not involve data collection.

Website and Feedback Data

This website uses Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to understand site traffic and usage. Google Analytics may process session statistics, approximate location, and browser and device information. Depending on our tag configuration and your consent settings, it may also store a pseudonymous client identifier in a first-party _ga cookie. This analytics does not include extension settings or Prime Video viewing activity.

Google processes this information as our analytics provider. See Google Analytics data collection and the Google Privacy Policy for more information.

Like most hosted websites, our hosting provider may process standard request information such as your IP address, user agent, requested page, and request time for delivery, security, and operational logging.

The website currently loads its icon stylesheet from HugeIcons. Requesting that stylesheet shares standard request information with the stylesheet provider. No extension activity or Prime Video viewing information is included in that request.

When you submit the feedback form, the information shown in the form is sent to a service we operate on third-party serverless infrastructure. The service creates an issue in our private GitHub repository and returns the issue number to your browser. Only authorized project maintainers can view the issue.

The private issue can contain the report type, title, description, reproduction details, browser and operating-system information, extension version, and any name or email address you choose to provide. We use this information only to investigate the report, respond when requested, and improve Prime Video Enhancer.

Feedback is retained only for as long as it remains useful for support, security, and product-development records. Do not include passwords, payment details, viewing history, or other sensitive information in a report. You may request access to or deletion of a submission through the feedback form.

The support thank-you page can store a boolean pve_cws_review_left flag in your browser when you confirm that you have already left a review. It contains no name, email address, or review content and can be removed by clearing this site's browser storage.

Optional Support Contributions

Prime Video Enhancer offers an optional "Support" link in the extension popup that opens pvenhancer.com/support in a new browser tab. This link is voluntary; the extension's functionality is not affected by whether you choose to contribute.

If you proceed to contribute, the checkout is processed by Lemon Squeezy, an independent third-party payment processor that operates as the Merchant of Record. Your name, email address, payment details, and billing address are collected and processed by Lemon Squeezy under their privacy policy and Data Processing Agreement, not by us.

Prime Video Enhancer does not receive or store your full payment-card details. Order and customer information made available by Lemon Squeezy is used only to administer the contribution, handle support, and meet accounting obligations.

If we make any changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
